Bio

I am a mechanical engineer by training, and during my first career I worked for almost 25 years in medical and scientific device development. I managed teams creating ultrasound imaging systems for cardiac applications, and ultrasound based instrumentation for shearing DNA.

After retiring from Engineering, I began a second career aligned with my interests in art. I now work part time as a consultant and exhibit developer for museums and other cultural organizations. I have also volunteered as a tour guide at the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum.

I have studied painting and graphic design at the Massachusetts College of Art and at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. My work has been seen at the Bromfield Gallery in Boston; the Cambridge Art Association; the Inside Out Gallery in Somerville; the Somerville Museum; and as part of Somerville Open Studios.
